Remember the spectacular transport of 15 biofuel storage tanks to the Neste terminal in Vlaardingen?
Well, we are happy to report that all the tanks, with volumes varying from 1300 m3 to nearly 5000 m3, were successfully anchored on-site, painted, fully insulated and dressed with secondary steel.
All of this within a very tight schedule and in safe conditions!
Great teamwork and very short communication lines, both within Geldof and with our partners, have led to this success.
Last week, an official handover moment took place in Vlaardingen at the Delta hotel, just a stone’s throw away from the new storage tanks, in the presence of the management of Neste, KH Engineering and Geldof. A well-deserved celebration after 2 years of hard work!
Our sincere thanks and appreciation go to our client Neste and our EPCm partner KH Engineering for the great collaboration on this exciting project!
PS: Have a look at the video below on how this exciting project all came together!

Neste is the world’s largest producer of renewable diesel and renewable jet fuel from waste and residual flows. They entrusted Geldof with their project to expand their terminal with 15 extra biofuel storage tanks.
KH Engineering is a full-service engineering agency based in Schiedam (NL). They guided Neste in this project and were our main discussion partner during the implementation of the project.
