Start of activities on site for reconstruction storage tank for sulphuric acid

This project concerns a double walled tank for the storage of 96% pure sulphuric acid.

Since it concerns a highly corrosive product the product has found its way to the interspace resulting in all kinds of inconveniences. It is almost impossible to work in a safely and qualitative manner with the roof still attached to the tank. Therefore it was decided to take of the roof and to disassemble the rings. So we are opting for a combination of tank recovery and new construction.

At first sight this seems like a very ordinary project but having no space for construction and the impact of the product are making it a project in which a lot of extra attention needs to be paid to precautionary and safety measures.
