Exciting progress in carbon capture: first tank segments bound for the construction yard in Westdorpe

As we continue to push the boundaries of sustainable innovation, we’re thrilled to announce a major milestone in our latest project with @Yara. The first segments of our meticulously engineered liquid CO2 Storage tanks are now on their way to the construction yard in Westdorpe, marking the next step in this groundbreaking carbon capture initiative.

Crafted with precision at our Harelbeke facility, each of these colossal tanks is being shipped in three segments, which will be assembled and welded together into a single unit. In total, we’re producing seven of these massive horizontal storage tanks for Yara Sluiskil, with each one undergoing rigorous design, engineering, and fabrication processes. From selecting the highest quality materials to conducting thorough inspections and testing, every detail has been perfected to ensure these tanks will meet the highest standards of durability and efficiency.

Now, these giants of sustainability are en route to Westdorpe, where the real magic will happen. There, these segments will be seamlessly welded together, tested, and prepared for their journey to Yara Sluiskil. It’s a complex choreography of expertise and logistics, perfectly orchestrated to deliver innovative solutions that support Yara’s sustainability goals.
