Geldof supports Kom Op Tegen Kanker
At Geldof, we’re no strangers to redefining boundaries—whether in the innovative projects we build or the goals we set. That same drive fuels our passion for sports and community, which is why we’re proud to support Michaël Vannieuwenhuyze, triathlete and mayor of Harelbeke —where our headquarters are located— and Xander Rigole as they take on their 2025 goal of cycling 1000 km for charity. Their cause: Kom Op Tegen Kanker, a leading Flemish organization dedicated to cancer prevention, treatment and support for patients and their families.
An active lifestyle is part of our company culture, and we’ve previously supported both Michaël and Xander in their athletic fundraising efforts. So it felt natural to get behind this cause again. Our sponsorship covers the charity dinner and the cycling outfits: Michaël’s outfit honors local lives lost to cancer, while Xander’s features the names of community sponsors—including Geldof—who are committed to the fight against cancer.
From the boardroom to the locker room, their determination to succeed and make an impact mirrors our own. In both spaces, success requires endurance and vision. Because doing good isn’t a sprint—it’s a marathon. And we’re in it for the long haul.
