Production at full swing at Westdorpe
380 tons—that’s roughly the weight of two Boeing 747s. Multiply that by seven, and what do you get?
The total weight of the seven large-scale CO₂ storage tanks (Ø7.2m x 56m) we are producing and installing for Yara Sluiskil as part of their cutting-edge Carbon Capture & Storage (CCS) project—designed to reduce CO₂ emissions by 800,000 tons per year.
At our temporary site with Mammoet, the tanks are taking shape as three prefab segments per tank are welded, hydrotested, painted, and insulated—a technical feat requiring precision, efficiency, and seamless coordination.
Delivering one tank every five weeks is no small challenge, especially at this scale. It’s only possible through continuous process optimizations, a strong focus on safety, and close collaboration with our partners Mammoet & Recinco.
With the first tanks soon making their way to the client, this project is a prime example of engineering expertise, logistical excellence, and teamwork in action.
